Established in 1956, the Association of Southern African Travel Agents is a representative forum that promotes professional service in the travel industry for both members and their clients.

The Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) is a member-driven association that offers inbound tourism services companies the highest level of quality in the tourism industry. Their purpose is to provide buyers with quality advice and references to assist them in making an informed decision in their selection of suppliers. They provide their members with key services and benefits as well as representation at local, regional and international trade shows and conferences. SATSA also lobby on issues that impact members businesses and profitability.
South African Tourism is the tourism marketing arm of the South African government with a job to promote the country domestically and internationally for leisure, business and events tourism. Their goal is to increase the number of tourists who visit South Africa and the organisation has grown from a few offices around the world to having operations in 13 international markets promoting all that is unique, warm and beautiful about South Africa.
